Siemens launched a digital version of its populair Additive Manufacturing Experience Center (AMEC). The AMEC, based in Erlangen, Germany, has attracted thousands of visitors since 2019. Since the Covid pandemic, face-to-face meetings remain a challange. And that is why Siemens has now launched a digital twin!
The launch was a succes. Dr. Karsten Heuser, Vice President of Additive Manufacturing for Siemens, hosted the event. Thomas Duerr and Markus Obermeier walked through the entire end-to-end design, 3D printing, post-processing, and industrialization of a radiator mold for a race car. Charlene van Wingerden from CEAD joined in digitally from Delft, Netherlands to showcase the company’s large-scale printer.
