Vacancy Sales Engineer

Job description:

In this position you will be involved in the entire customer journey ; from lead generation, technical sales definition, negotiations, to project kick off and customer service.   The person will be involved in strategic activities with our network of global customers; flexibility to undertake various different business situations is a must. Of course, you will not do this on your own, but together with the Sales team that currently consists of four people: Andrea Baldolini, Charlene van Wingerden, Emiel de Voogd and Lucas Janssen. 

Because we want to further expand the scope of our sales activities and with that also the sales team, we are seeking for a Sales Engineer who fits in and can support the team, and who can grow to complete sales projects successfully.


  • Handling requests from new and existing customers
  • Managing the sales processes 
  • Maintaining contacts in CRM software
  • Trade fair visits and active involvement in other events
  • Customer visits, both at CEAD premises and at customers’ sites (both in the Netherlands and internationally). 
  • Collaborates with the Sales team in the definition of sales budgets ensuring the strategic goals fulfillment.
  • Ensures constant monitoring of the assigned market area/ customers in terms of current/potential customers, risks and economic trends in the definition of the most effective promotional activities for business development and consolidation.
  • Ensures formulation of proposals in order to meet the customer needs  by managing both financial aspects and business negotiation process.

Your Experience

We are looking for a person with a technical background and business acumen who gets a lot of energy out of understanding and grasping customer needs. Our sales process is quite technical due to the product and market, so affinity and experience with that is important. 

Your skills:

  • Good knowledge of English language, both verbally and in writing.  If you can speak more world languages, that is more than welcome!
  • Good knowledge of the German language is  considered a plus
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Proactive, autonomous and team worker
  • Ability to work in challenging & demanding situations
  • Technical affinity and interest in our products
  • Social, proactive and flexible attitude
  • Experience with Microsoft Office & good presentation skills 
  • Experience with CAD tools , Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is an advantage.
